It's a bit embarrassing for me to ask, but ok, here it goes, I need to know:Are there more of you who have this distention in the pubic area, too? It reaches down from my ribs (also the left rib pain) down to the pubic bone. It used to be only the lower abdomen, but that was when I had this gradual bloating throughout the day. Now i've got continuous bloating with no relieve.So I can't even wear those usefull hipsters anymore!

My bloating is from right below my belly button to the top of my hair in the pubic region. Is that where you are talking about?

no, I'm afraid it starts under the ribs down to the area including the pubic hear, so I can't even see my own feet anymore!I guess seeing the lack of more reactions, I am the only one with this type of bloating?!Before all my symptoms became more severe (some 3 weeks ago) I had the same kind of bloating as you have, under belly button a bit down.But now - in addition to the bloating in the pubic area - it also stretches out in the upper area sideways, so the area right under the boobs is already more stretched out than before.This causes pain to the ribs.Luckily, I've got a few names, now, of gastroenterologists in Europe (not in my country, though) who do take this seriously, and now I'm looking for the fastest way to get into their clinics, for guidance and help with symptom relieve.Because on my own I can't do this anymore.

Nadia -I have bloating just on the right side that goes from the pubic region to up to the rib area - but, it is because my ascending colon is very seriously twisted. And - it is of the "traditional" gets worse during the day type.Since this type of bloating is new to you - you might want to consider a GYN consult to eliminate any problems in that area as well.HugsPeggy

I have an ex-coworker that would bloat like that. She would go from looking normal and 30 minutes later she would look 6 months pregnant. You could literally watch her stomach get bigger. She would have to go home and change clothes. Her bloating was the entire stomach. She has IBS also. I thought maybe this would make you feel a little more at ease. I don't think you are the only one with this kind of bloating. I do agree with Peggy, I would definitely go see a doctor. If this is a change for you then it is worth checking out. Good luck!!

Yes, I bloat pretty badly - certainly worse in the mornings and sometimes quite some pain when I pass my lovely morning "poo". This wears off during the day and I'm actually less bloated as the day wears on but yes, its bad near the pubic area.All the bestSue, Manchester

me too..and I was gonna say I look like 7 months preggie, also my stomach when bloating looks quite lopsided at times(my bloat and pain always starts on my left side under my rib and I actually can see it balloon out). Not that anyone ever sees that because I am heading for the bath., Has anyone found that heat helps take the edge off? If I ever bloat that bad that means my pain is unbearable and I am going home. With respect to my new job I only left once early. I made homemade chicken caesar wraps with spinach and walnuts. Bad idea for work lunch. Thought I was gonna vomit everywhere and give birth all at the same time.Anmd yes bloating AND pain in pubic area as well. I have a post with all of my symptoms and ailments. My gyno thinks i have endometriosis. We are wondering if the endometreosis, well if I have it, has traveled beyond the uterus and if this could be causing gast probs?I have avoided the test and not scheduled for several reasons . Waiting until after my insurance kicks in from new job in march for the tests. Wouldnt it make sense? 70percent of ibs sufferers are women. 70 percent or more of people with thyroid problems are women too.I have been discussing possibilities with local homeopaths who used to be physicians of traditional western medicine. Wondering where the link is and what it is.
