BEACHBUNNY:Only if you are sensitivie to the coffee, caffeine, or additives.
Seriously, there is nothing intrinsically bad with most additives unless you have developed an intolerance, and if taken in moderatiion. The body is able to process ("detoxify") itself quite effectively. The problem we have, especially in modern American life, is the additive LOAD: the average American consumes 20 POUNDs of additives by dry weight per year, and if it is a person who is a fast-food and processed-food nut this amount can be DOUBLED. 40 POUNDS of chemicals! Now this is a HUGE increase over the amount of chemical the body has to process overa time span less than ONE generation. We are adaptive organisms, but in some cases not THIS adaptive. SOme immunologists are greatly concerned that some of the emergent conditions in the populaton over the last 40 years (like IBS and fibromyalgia and CFS for example) which are accompanied by manifestations of aberrant immune response may be a consequence (Toxicant Induced Loss of Tolerance). So, is your chemical load low? Does coffee bother you now? If you add the flavored coffee do your symptoms change? Is beach erosion avoidable? Oh sorry where the hell did that come from...AH! Power of name association....eat well. Think well. be well.MNL
