After having a bowel movement whether I am regular or constipated I experience intense cramping or pain. This began after my first baby was born. He is now 17 yrs. old and my pain has gotten progressively worse and I have just recently figured out I have IBS. Doctors did not help--said it was all in my head!!
Anyone suffer from these symptoms-I just joined 2007

Hi, I have been dealing with IBS for 15 years and I experience the same type of pain and cramping afterward also. Sorry your doctors aren't helpful. I've been through that myself.
Yes, many people here have pain which is often described as intense cramping or stabbing.If your doctor is telling you it's all in your head, I would find another doctor. Maybe even ask him if he's seen the latest research...and tell him it's 2007 now, not 30-40 years ago when that's what doctors' believed.
