I wanted to let you know that I have been using Ibsacol for over 9 weeks now and I have really gotten fabulous results. I feel just like I did on Lotro! Actually, I'm less bloated and have less gas on Ibsacol! There are many of us benefiting from this wonderful product. You may want to try a search for Ibsacol on the BB. It will bring up all the post that have been written about Ibsacol. If you have any questions that you would like to ask me, Please feel free to e-mail me...Nikko0990###yahoo.com. I hope this helps

Glad to see you are trying other things for now and not just giving in.Like Pikey said, check out the BB for Ibsacol. There are lots of posts but especially under products because topics about alternative, over the counter products do not sit well with many on the Lotronex threads. These posts eventually get transfered over to the products area. There are lot's of us ex-Lotro users who are on it and do quite well. There are also lot's of other suppliments and biofeedback type things that people have tried. Some others like caltrate or Erics tapes can be viewed also on the IBS section of this board.Personally I like a combo of Ibsacol and relaxation tecniques. Has worked for me for about 3 mo's now. No more constant D and cramps.

And the evidence is ...??

And the evidence for this statement is ...?The owner of the company has repeatedly declined to publicly state the name of the active ingredient/s .. unless u regard 'Miracol' as an explanation .. sooo you pays yer money and takes yer chance! Or OTOH research on the BBS and I/Net for things that have been *scientifically* proven to help :)HTHKKat
Thanks for the imput I"ll check it out.
bkrubba, I'm another happy Ibsacol customer. katey kat I've never read what you talk about. My Ibsacol bottle says on the label it a long chain fatty acid compound and plant based.I emailed the company and they explained it is from a safe and edible plant but the actual source is a commercial secret for a few months longer.I never had any problem with that and I am very happy with my results. Seems so a lot of others are getting help too.[This message has been edited by wyze88 (edited 05-02-2001).]

Perhaps you oughta.

Usually *short* chain FA's are needed for FGID's

Such a practice would IMO be quite illegal here .. co's are required to state the ingredients

Testimonials, testimonials but where the scientific evidence?

And appearances can be deceptive :)KKat

Jeff we need some help here please.....I check this thread to get helpful info, not to hear this negative stuff. I am now getting private emails from new people who are afraid to post but have questions.KkatYour responses are really no longer appropriate nor are they wanted. You won't even respond to a personal post directed to you. I question if you do truly suffer from IBS because anyone who does would never respond to others happiness in the way that you have and I believe it is comments like yours that give a bad name to this BB. Your responses to others by quoting them are getting more and more insensitive.Enough is enough.

I just want to say to anyone who clicked on this thread in order to view this topic of interest, I am sorry you are not getting good information from some of the board members. If you are new, remember there is a lot of good advice, so please don't let this disourage those of you who are searching for suggestions or opinions from feeling like you can give your opinion or in asking for help.
kateykat, please forgive the mixed metaphor, but I think you are barking up the wrong tree.Assuming I am "the owner" to whom you referin your mischievously inaccurate posting,I need to copy this from a previous Discussion Page simply to keep the truth available. This was dated March 23.---------------------------------------------Hi kateykat ...If you would like accurate information about Ibsacol, please feel free to email me directly. I am a director of the New Zealand company who has developed the product. I see you have posed questions in other postings also and I would appreciate the opportunity to help and address your questions. If for whatever reason you don't wish to email me directly, please email to Jeffrey Roberts and I'm sure he will be quite happy to forward on to me. I can't answer questions here directly or the post will need to be moved to Products and Info, and I don't think drewstone intends or wants that to happen.Kind wishesDianne---------------------------------------------I have never heard from you. Nor have you ever posted in a place I can reply. It is inappropriate for me to post here, as you know, and I will not reply again. ( And I apologise to regular posters here for needing to do so.) If you have questions, please email me, as Jeff has asked you to do, or post in the proper Products and Info forum where I can answer questions. Please ? Thank you. I think it would be appreciated.Kind thoughts to youDianneFor the record, I am a Director of the company that produces Ibsacol.

KateyKat,I'm not sure what you are after. Many people report that several OTC's work for them - with no clinical evidence whatsoever. What's the difference what the ingredients are if some people get benefit from it?The people at Meracol have indicated that the supplement will not harm you. Why don't you address them directly and report back to us rather than your constant badgering on the BB.Jeff[This message has been edited by Jeffrey Roberts (edited 05-04-2001).]
