I could be wrong but I think Beans and Nuts fall into fiber category which normally has a laxative effect on people. So I would think that Soy would be good for constripation not a bad thing.KARL

Soybeans, whole, like all beans shouldn't be constipating. I was also advised to stay away from say products (including Tofu) until my gut settles down. Rice milk aka Rice Dreams products were suggested.------------------Brenda S, R.N.This too shall pass !
