I am an IBS-C, which has been getting worse lately. I have read many IBS-C'ers say that they avoid soluble fiber supplements like Citrucel. I had been using them with much luck, but now they are not working and I am supplementing with extra insoluble fiber, which I think is drying me out even more. I don't get gas from the citrucel. How many of us IBS-C people still us fiber supplements? Are they good or is it better to get the fiber from real food?

I use a combination of soluble and insoluble fibers. Citrucel has helped me some I think but I mix it with a bunch of other stuff like magnesium, psyllium, perdiem, stool softeners and benefiber. I drink LOTS of water too.
