Hello all,I'm new to this site and have read a lot of the posts. Most of the things posted I have experienced but I was wondering if any one has BAD lower back pain at all? I'm a 39yr old male and went to the doctor suspecting heart problems but everything came back great from that Thank God. So now I live with not having regular movements and stomach pain to go along with some pretty severe lower back pain. Almost a sharp burning or stabbing sensation in the lower side/back area. Any response would be greatly appreciated.

i also have terrible back pain. My Dr. has ruled out just about everything and has told me it must be due to my IBS C. In an attempt to get relief i am going back to my chiropractor on Monday to see if she can help. So far nothing else has helped. Good luck and take care.

I did go to my chiropractor a few weeks ago and that did relieve some of the pain and a new sleep number matress but, I still get these sharp or prickly pains in the lower side/back area. Today I actually had pain in the cheek muscles of my rear and extended down my hamstring. Felt like a pulled muscle somewhat. Very strange things with this so called IBS.

The pain you descibe in your rear going down your hamstring is your cyatic nerve. I took get back pain from Ulcerative Colitis which is an inflamation of the colon. I attribute the back pain to the inflamed colon pressing on the nerve. Try sleeping with a pillow under your knees and taking Ibuprofin.
