sorry about the bad night. don't get the burning ears but I can get flushed when having an attack.IBS is very frustrating. one of the biggest frustrators is that there is no test that can tell you it's IBS. you just have to eliminate other, potentially more serious, diseases. That's what your doctor was doing with the tests he ran. you know, for many of us, stress is the big trigger. I've recognized this for years and in fact have decided that food rarely is the problem since if 'm doing well, I can eat just about anything. But stress, well that's another story. I tried several things to help with this but finally found hypno ws my answer. Others have also found this or found some of the anti-anxiety meds help too. I think it's all about the serotonin being out of whack and I react this way to stress. Kind of like a diabetic insulin response is out of whack and they react to sugar.good lucknancy
