hallo all!I have been having painful crampy-like pain in my belly, specifically the right side for 8 days now (i have already had my appendix out). Could this be IBS? It is chronically there, but definitely painful...I can't get to a doctor due to a trip for a week (work) but does anyone have any advice? I also have a terrible sharp stitch-like pain on the right side at the bottom of my rib cage...ouch! I would really appreciate any comments or advice! I wish you all well, and thank you!

Yes it definately could be. I suggest writing down everything that is bothering you whether you think it is related or not then go to your Dr. with all of this. If they decide to run tests, I would ask for a colonoscopy as it is the best test.

Hi tanyaa,I got the word last week that I have GallStones. The following symptons sent me to the doctor. Sharp pain under ribs on the right hand side. The first attack felt like I had pulled a muscle there. The second attack my right side was so tender it could not be touched and then my whole body seemed to ache. I have nausea occassionally. When I am not in an attack I get little shots of pain lasting for only a few minutes. My stones where found by an ultrasound. I don't know if you have stones or not but it is worth talking to your doctor about as one of the possible causes. It could be IBS as well. I don't have pain with my IBS so not sure what that is like. Just my suggestions! Good luck,HJ
