do any of you guys experience nasty side effects forn bentyl- like naseau and being high as a kite and sleepy? my dr. told me thats all she can give me for the pain. said donatol does the same thing. advil helps but can I take that everyday or everytime I have pain?

I think that bentyl is the most horrible "medicine" in the world. I took a lot of it for a long time because I so wanted to believe that it was helping but it made me feel like ****. I thought that the horrible side effects were worth it if I wasn't passing gas all the time. Well...not worth it. I feel so much better without it...mentally and physically.

I just got diagnosed with IBS, I was put on bentyl, how long were you on it before you started seeing side effects? I have only been on it for 3 days.

I had these very side effects when I took 5mg Pamine Forte, so I cut them in half and that relieves my cramping with no side effects. It could mean you need a smaller dose.
