I just joined today, but have been looking at the bb for a while. I saw a couple of posts mentioning the Brat diet. Can someone elaborate on it for me? I am IBS-D, would it help me during attacks, or prevent them???
the brat diet is Bananas Rice Applesauce Toast. They all have good fiber in them to regulate bowls and will be light on your digestion system to help the D slow down.
The "Brat" diet is something doctors recommend after a serious bout of D. It is not intended to be your only source of nutrition. It's just easy on your stomach and binding after a D attack.
