I have some calcium tablets, the bottle says they are 600mg plus vitamin D (3ug).....the main ingredient is calcium carbonate but it does list 'vegetable source magnesium stearate' as the 5th ingredient....Is this the right calcium i should be taking for my IBS/D as I have noticed other posts advising to avoid magnesium and I dont want to make things worse...!?!??confused!!

If you go to IBS FAQ and click on the "what about calcium as a treatment" and then click on the first link, it will give you all the information that you need. I am on CaltratePlus the purple box which you will find in Boots the chemist, which only has a small amount of magnesium, hope that this helps
