im on tums regular strength. under active ingrediant its says calcium carbonate...500mg, but then on the bottom it says supplement facts, calcium...200mg. which one should i follow for my D?
if you're looking for the amount of calcium... it's the 200mg.quote from http://www.pccnaturalmarkets.com/health/Su...alcium_Best.htm Dietary supplements may contain one of several different forms of calcium. One difference between the various calcium compounds is the percentage of elemental calcium present. A greater percentage of elemental calcium means that fewer tablets are needed to achieve the desired calcium intake. For instance, in the calcium carbonate form, calcium accounts for 40% of the compound, while the calcium citrate form provides 24% elemental calcium.hope that helps
