i've been reading thru some posts and people (me included) seem confused abt caltrate/magnesium, etc. caltrate plus has 40mg magnesium, which i think wld exacerbate my D but people in the chat room tonight told me no, that it was needed for the body to properly absorb the calcium. my pharmacist said he thought it'd make the D worse, tho...anyway, i got the regular (blue and white) to be on the safe side and i guess i'll use that up first and see how it goes. i just wanted to write that abt the c.plus and the mag. b/c someone said it didn't have mag. and there seemed to be some confusion. any suggestions/advice on this whole thing wld be welcome...also, is it okay to take the caltrate if yr already on an antispasmodic like librax? or caltrate and fibercon? i'm just wary of being on too many medications at once...

Can't sleep??? Anyways, after all the horrible experiences I've had with doctors, I'd listen to this BB gang - it sounds like they've been doing this whole thing for a while! Good luck - I'm going to try it too!

yesca,The amount of magnesium in the caltrate plus is 10% of the daily recommended dose and I believe it is just enough to keep those of us taking it from getting constipated. If you do well on the other kind take it by all means. But if not don't give up until you try the one in the purple and white box. It should be okay to take the Librax with the calcium but I would stop the Fibercon for now.Linda
