Mr Immodium, I would back off to 1 or 2 per day if you're constipated. Always best to introduce new things in "baby steps". That way you give your body time to adjust, and see how you handle it. Perhaps some fiber will get things moving again?[This message has been edited by lee w (edited 07-30-1999).]

Mr. Immodium...I started Caltrate back in May with 2 a day. I found it was too much, so I only take 1 a day now. It'll take some time to figure out what works for you.I don't think that not eating and taking Caltrate is a great idea, however. No wonder it seems like cement in there. You have to eat, and drink plenty of water, especially when taking calcium of any kind.

Mr Immodium,Stop the caltrate until you go potty, drink lots of water or eat an offending food. Then, start back with one a day if this is still too much 1/2 a day. Or if not enough 2 and day just play with the dose until you get what is right for you. You may need 1/2 tablet two times a day once you get regulated just remember to take it about the same time every day to stay regular.Linda
