I'm looking for a site or someone here who can help me. As an ibs sufferer, I am in touch with an elderly lady living in Crawley in West Sussex. She would very much like to speak to people who suffer with ibs but doesn't have the internet. She is also agraphobic so feels very isolated. There are no self-help groups in her area even if she could get to them. She's really looking for someone to write to or telephone. Can anyone advise me or does anyone know of anyone who would correspondond with this lady? Thanks in advance.

I help to man a volunteer helpline so I don't have her telephone number or address so I need to wait until she next rings me and ask her. I believe she's in her seventies- she feels very isolated and scared of her symptoms which isn't helped by the fact that she can't get out. If I know that some kind people would like to correspond with her I can teel her next time we speak.

I am quite a bit younger but have a soft spot for the elderly, I lost my grandma a few years ago and it tore me in two. She might be as theraputic to me as I hope I could be to her so let me and nerfmom know when you speak to her again.DF
