My problem is that I can't sit or stand for very long without pain and discomfort. I don't have a problem with D or C. But I can't travel very far by car, or sit very long anywhere. Therefore, I have no life.I can't go to ball games, restaurants, movies, or travel anywhere because of the pain in my abdomen. Does any body else havethis? Does anybody have any suggestions, or should I just try to live with it. I can'teven exercise because of the soreness (exceptwalk) Thanks for listening. I'm frustrated.and want my life back!

dcass, You didn't mention if you were diagnosed with IBS. If you have not gone yet, I'd get to a doctor as fast as I could. My doctor gave me bentyl to help with the Colon spasms but what you describe could be a lot of thing. Good luck, let us know a little more about your symptoms, people on this board are very helpful. Jackie
I agree, you say you don't have "C" or "D", which I assume means you have normal bowel movements. If "C" and or "D" are not the culprits causing your pain, there has to be some other reason. IBS is almost always accompanied with bouts of "C" or "D" or both. Have you been diagnosed with IBS?------------------"Today is the first day of the rest of your life"Rose
I agree. You should go see a doctor and make sure what you have IS in fact IBS. If what you're suffering from is muscle pain, you could have fibromyalgia. Don't take it from me though... Go see a doctor, and get well.Spirit.------------------He who loses money, loses much; He who loses a friend, loses more; He who loses faith, loses all.

Yes, I have been diagnosed with IBS sinceJune of this year. I have had a CAT scan, upper GI and a colonoscopy. I have also lostmuch of my appetite and lost about 12 lbs.I'm cutting back on all dairy, coffee, sweets, and have started lactose free milk and non fat yogurt with acidophilus. I am currently taking latrix, paxil and adavan for nerves and depression. Hope that helps.
