My Dr. put me on Celexa and I ended up in emergency after taking my first pill. I think his reasoning for putting me on it was that he didn't know how to help me and thought my symptons were from depression. I have since learned they are not and kick myself for trying this drug. My reaction to the drug included almost passing out, my chest heating up and feeling like it was on fire and difficulty breathing. I have never had a reaction to any drugs before. I thought I was dying. I also experienced dry mouth and sever headache after the other things fizzled out. My Dr. later told me that out of the four patients he has given this drug to, two have taken it without problems and two have had reactions. I also experienced a hair loss and still (five months later) am losing my hair more rapidly than I should. Not sure about what to do about this?Please do your research before trying any new drug. I sure learned my lesson. I now only take natural things for my IBS and stress. Regards,HJ

Hey Gang,I just went to the doctor today and he told me to take celexa for my deppression. If any of you have tried this before please fill me in on good or bad experiences. Oh and did it help with IBS? I have IBS-C My stomach attacks are so painfully can't eat much, I have lost 23 pounds in 3 months I am non complaing I could still stand to loose more i just don't like loosing it with the pain.
