I have a tight feeling right in the middle of my chest that doesn't seem to go away. At night, it hurts too (when I'm laying down) and sometimes I feel a bit short of breath. Can gas cause this sort of feeling? I do, at times, hear gurgling. Sometimes I get a wave of nausea, then the tight feeling goes away, and it seems as though a whole bunch of gas has moved down because I can feel it going, and then it is expelled. I should also mention that I've never been one to burp ( I can't seem to figure out how to do it!)

Many things cause chest pain from gas to heart trouble to lung troubles to problems with the connective tissue in the rib cage to GERD.This should be evaluated by your doctor to figure out where the problem is.K.
