I finally had a colonoscopy and my doctor said that my colon was longer than the scope?? Has anyone ever had these results before? All he said was eat alot of fiber.... I guess my colon is twice as long as a normal persons???
It is called redundant colon. It is a fairly common anatomical difference. You find it in people with no symptoms at all, so it usually doesn't explain any symptoms.http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/redundant-colon/AN00239 has some info.K.
