One of the main symptoms of my IBS is cramping at and below my naval. Even after a bm. The cramping often will last for hours or even all day. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I might be able to do for this? Any medicines, remedies, etc..? Thanks!

I wish I could share some sort of cure with you. I can't. But I can say that I feel your pain and I have often said that this is the thing about IBS that I really hate. I can deal with diarrhea but the pain is insane. I cannot stand it when I get no relief and the pain does last all day. I have tried anti-spasmotics but they haven't done much for me. You might want to try something like that. I am sure you can get some suggestions of good ones to try here. Also, some people say that heat helps. A heating pad, warm wash cloth, or there are new bandage type things that create heat that may work too.Good Luck,Carly

Sorry your going through so much pain. One thing that I do that helps some, in addition to the heat, is drinking peppermint tea. I can't tell you if it's the peppermint or the warm liquid. It's not a long term fix but it does give me a few moments of peace.Hope this helps a little. I wish I had a cure for you.Love,Jamie
