Hi Skystone:I'm sorry that you're feeling depressed. I take anti-depressants myself, and for me, they have made the difference between "living and enjoying life" and just "existing".My doc convinced me into going on them a while back while I was going through a very bad period, and I was amazed at the difference it made in my life. I realized how badly I had been depressed. The problem with depression is, the more depressed you feel, the less you want to do anything about it because you think your life isn't going to change anyway, so what's the difference? The difference to me is that I was finally able to enjoy people and things that non-depressed people take for granted.Antidepressants can make a big difference, and so can therapy. I'd give it a try if I were you. I know the detached feeling, and I really don't want to have it again.Good luck, whatever you decide to do.JeanG

Hi osgev:I take 400 mg per day of Wellbutrin. 200 in the morning and 200 later in the day. The only side effect I've noticed is some loss of appetite, which is fine for me because I'm trying to lose weight. My psych said some people have problems sleeping with it if they take it too close to bedtime, so I take my first dose at 5:00 am and my second at 3:00 pm, and it doesn't bother me. But I am also taking Trazadone to help me to sleep. I don't know what it would be like without it.Hope this helps!
