My mother had her colostomy take down on June 24. However, she still has uncontrollable bouts of diarrhea. Has anyone else experienced this aftr having their colon rejoined and if so, does anyone have an idea as to how long before she is having normal BMS again? Also, is there anything she could do that might help attain normal function again?Thanks so much for any help.

My Husband had a successful colostomy reversal last week Thursday. He now has diarrhea, when he gets home he will start taking calcium. As this is what helped me after 2 small bowel surgeries for mechanical small bowel obstructions. Would not wish these maladies on my worst enemy.char
