Hi Kristilynn:I also have a problem with digesting nuts. You sound like you have an allergy to them. Which is not uncommon. You might consult with an allergy specialist. I was told that I have diverticulosis and that I should not eat nuts or seeds, because it gets caught in these pouches in my intestines and causes inflammation and pain. As much as I love nuts, sometimes it's not worth it. And if you do eat them make sure you chew them up good. All the best for the holidays.Weener

I can not tolerate whole nuts or popcorn, but if the nuts are ground up very very fine, almost like a paste for cookies or kolatchi, then I can handle them.

Yes nuts bother me. Most of all peanuts and coconuts. I can eat *an* almond or *a* walnut now and then, but otherwise they give me diareah and headaches. I was hoping to find relief from IBS with the peppermint capsules but the information says do not take if allergic to nuts. Now what??

I am allergic to nuts and get the nice swelling of the tongue and throat. Used to be able to eat peanuts, but now because of my stomach problems I stear clear of them and any seeds. Major tummy problems otherwise.Christine------------------
Smile, It makes people wonder what you have been up to!!

I can't eat nuts or popcorn. I can tolerate a peanut butter sandwich now and then as long as I use creamy and not crunchy peanut butter. Walnuts make my tongue hurt. Is that an allergy?

Eskie, A sore tongue after eating walnuts can be a sign of an allergy. Do you get sores on your tongue or is your tongue just sore? My allergy started with sores and progressed to swelling.Christine

Well let me tell you.... My favorite is Cashews---RAW and they double me over with cramps and big-time D if I indulge.Peanut butter is ok,but any kind of nuts -roasted or raw are disasterous. I can eat sunflower seeds. They're delicious raw or dry roasted.
