The father of a teacher I had last year was a gastroenterologist, and I did meet with him a couple of times. Unfortunately, I lived too far to go for regular visits, but he seemed to be a great doctor from what I could tell. His name is Dr. Tom Deas, and he should be listed in the phone book.

Hi Genny, My best friend lives in the Ft. Worth-Arlington area and she just had a colonoscopy. Her GI who I believe has an office in Arlington sounded excellent. As I have been stuck with a GI who won't even talk, (has his nurse call with any test results etc.) I think her doc sounded great. I believe his name is Dr.Gentry. I hope this helps some, I know how hard it is to find a good one. Good luck, Maddie
