Hi there! I am just wondering if Colosan wipes out the gut flora, good bacteria, bad bacteria, or both? Or does it leave all the bacteria undisturbed? I may need to be using it regularly, and I don't want to get rid of all the friendly bacteria in my gut. I hoped to use Colosan while taking a probiotic, is this reasonable? Thanks!

Hi DeepSouthDonut -

I don't think if it affects your gut flora much at all, but Colosan is magnesium. A lot of people use magnesium for chronic constipation here, so if you have diarrhea instead of that I'd steer clear.

Also I would not recommend using a probiotic if you have constipation. D? Yes. You could always try it though if you already bought it, but I'd say about 85% of us here with IBS-C feel probiotics make our constipation worse, not better.

Good luck & keep us posted!
