Just wanted to report that I've been following the advice in the "Eat Right 4 Your Type" book very religiously for about a week and a half and my colon spasms have pretty much disappeared, as has the bloating I normally suffer from. It's hard to adjust to the new foods, but if it stops the pain it's worth it.I would be interested in finding out if anybody else has tried this tactic.
