The blandest food which worked for me was rice (white), bananas (cooked or baby food), canned pears, toast if you are sure you can tolerate wheat, chicken broth or plain chicken if OK, possibly meat/fish if you are OK with it. I find the rice is the safest.Rosie

Yes, rice was also the safiest for me. Chicken or turkey,without the skin. Cream of wheat or hard boiled eggs without the yoke for breakfast. I had tortillas and white bread, cuz during the flare up period I was sensitive to wheat bread. I stayed away from caffeinated sodas, but since I was a coffee drinker, I couldn't see myself totally going off coffee, so I cut my consumption in half. I drank a lot of water. 64ozs a day, but only in small sips. I carried the water with me all over the house or with me when I went somewhere. I stayed away from all my trigger foods for sometime.
