My point was absorbed by a few here. The me too is for blaming everything else on the IBS. It is a never ending street. Some of these things might just be other medical problems and need looking at. It like a horoscope one size fits all.Sadly some, actually a lot of these self pity post are looking for a excuse for everything wrong in their lives. This is not good therapy to blame it all on IBS. I know this won't make a differance to some but blind support is a disservice to the poster.

Since I joined this BB I have read about other people's problems & symptoms... this makes me feel like in certain situations (not all)that I am not alone... I think this is what a BB such as this is supposed to do... It is supposed support, encourage and sometimes put you at ease when something is bothering you pertaining to IBS. All of us should see a doctor and have a proper diagnosis about IBS however the support network is what is important to me. I check in with this BB every day and every day I learn something new and see someone's else perspective about life and IBS... I really enjoy this BB and it is of great help to me, especially if you do not have friends or family who suffer from IBS.Jaantje

I don't know, I think Big Mike isn't being very tolorant of others views just by making this thread. IBS doesn't exactly have a known cause. Look at all the fights that go on here because everyone seems to think they know what causes it, and how to fix it. Some people think they know what good IBS therapy is, and that it works for everyone and so on. A lot of disorders combine themselves with other problems. If a lot of people with IBS do develop another disorder of the same, then doctors should look in to that. That doesn't mean that we shouldn't see a doctor and talk to them about our other problems. It is a support issue. When your suffering with something chronic, AND you have IBS you will wonder if they are related. And then you look for feedback. If a lot of people all have it too, plus IBS, it might be something to bring up with your doctor. Nothing wrong with that. I just get a little tired of people always telling others how to post. Which is why I don't come here very often. Too many know-it-alls. Live and let live. If someone feels better by asking if someone else has the same problem, let them. Get a hobby or something and don't worry about it. JMO[This message has been edited by Homebound (edited 09-29-2001).]
