Honestly, I don't know, I never tried to use FMLA for IBS but also was not eligible as there were too few employees in the company.Here's a link to the Act http://www.dol.gov/esa/regs/statutes/whd/fmla.htm But you might want to pay particular attention to the definition of serious health condition at this link http://www.dol.gov/dol/allcfr/ESA/Title_29...9CFR825.114.htm I can understand your frustration about having a boss who does not understand missing work for illness (unless it's so serious they themselves end up hospitalized) My old boss' response would be: well, if you can control the illness with medication, there's not a problem, is there?
