So is it just me... but I notice, quite often (not all the time) but my stomach just feels "weird" after I've gone to the toilet, whether it was loose, hard, normal. It's just like it sometimes leaves me a bit windy, or just kinda... bruised inside? If that makes sense. Often feel a little bloated and sort of full of gas too for some reason afterwards. Plus it starts to get noisy.Other times... I feel much better afterwards and feel pretty empty and hungry.I just don't know what it means particularly. I guess it just means... 'you've gone to the toilet, and I'm now kinda emptying and moving stuff around'. Just interested if other people get this?

It's interesting you mention that ziggy7, I've found sometimes that if I have to hold a movement in... or sometimes it just kinda doesn't finish, then that seems to cause problems, and a gas build up when I finally do go.

I suffer all the time with strange stomach noises, bloatedness, soreness and gas/wind.Not nice, but ibs is not a very nice illness!
I've noticed one odd thing with it... always had this, in bed, I can't lie down straight away otherwise it's so noisy, I have to sit up slightly for a little bit, and gradually kinda... fall down.

I find I cannot lie on my back without it causing terrible noises and horrific flatulence before turning to bad stomach cramps.Does this effect anybody else as it's very inconvenient?

When i go to bed i do lie down, but the noises are still grumbling and groaning away, rather noisely as it is so quiet at bedtime. They ease and quieten eventually, but i do feel as if there is always something going on in there! If i have severe stomach cramps i normally have to get up to go to the bathroom or sit at the side of my bed and breathe deeply and slowly in the hope the pain passes.
