I talked with my aunt today and she said she was taking fibercon and it seemed to be helping her. I always thought fiber worked the C not D. Anyone have any experience with this? I'm having a rough night here myself...Hubby is sick in bed, he's never sick! That makes me anxious which makes my symptoms arise, so I'm feeling a little sick myself. LoriIs anyone online that would like to meet in the chatroom?

lapr, Fibre works for D too. I believe it helps absorb fluids and makes for a bulkier(spelling?) stool. this also helps with cramping because it has something to push through. I don't think I explained that very well but it sounded good when the Doctor explained it!sickofsick

Lori-I have had great sucess with Fibercon. I am D and C or just go alot on a "good day" but when I first began taking Fibercon it was for D, and I thought it would never work either. I think what it does for D is that it bulks up the stool, (it makes me produce more poop-sorry to be gross)so that D is less D like. It takes some time to notice any difference so don't get discouraged if it doesnt seem to help as soon as you would like. I take 2 fibercon every day and have found that they really help me. I still have my flareups in both directions but I'm much better than I was at my worst.
P.S. I was going to do a post and vent about my lousy day , I'll pop over to the chatroom in a few minutes if you want to chat and if I can get in there. It's been hard to get in lately.
