i managed my ibs-c symptoms with fiber tablets and a healthy diet for over a year, and now it seems like that's not working for me. i take at least 2 doses of fibercon during the day, try to eat lots of whole grains and fruits, drink gobs of water, and i've even been taking a stool softener at night and i'm still soo plugged up. i'm lucky to go a little bit (incomplete evacuation) every three days. and now i think i have internal hemorrhoids. anybody got any suggestions for me?thanks!super

Magnesium supplements. The best thing I've had so far that helps my C. It basically softens the stool, but may not help you actually 'go'. I've found the whole retraining your bowels thing helps. My body is now used to going after I eat my first big meal of the day.Let me know if you have any questions about mag supplements.Ty

I would try a different fiber.... FiberCon doesn't work for me at all, but with the powdered stuff I am pretty much fine unless I eat a pound of cheese or something.
that's w/ about 10 g. of added fiber a day. The supplement I use has that much in one serving, other supplements you might have to take a few servings. And I agree magnesium supplements are good.
