Low flatus diet: http://www.endowsec.com/pated/edtgs12.htmSome people with specific carbohydrate intolerances can sometimes need to limit that specific carb (rather than the ones all humans can't digest or absorb).Fructose restricted diet:http://john.toebes.com/diet.htmlSome people do well on regular low carb diets and I tend to like South Beach because it emphasizes healthy fats. There are several books out and the main website is here. http://www.southbeachdiet.com/sbd/publicsite/index.aspx If you don't need to lose weight just up the portions to enough calories to maintain your weight.I find probiotics greatly reduce my fart frequency. You may need one without FOS or inulin (as those prebiotics can increase gas if you can't get enough probiotic bacteria going). Align, VSL#3, and Culturelle are some good brands. I also like the store brand from GNC and The Vitamin Shoppe. You may also need to be screened for SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) with a hydrogen breath test if that hasn't been done.
I had it so bad and nothing was working. Gas-X, Phazyme, nothing. I took some probiotics and 2 days later I felt almost completely cured. I have now doubled my dosage(Which states on the package is perfectly fine) and the past 3 days have been the best in over 2 months. Definately check out some probiotics.
Hi, what brands of probiotics have yuo been using? i get bad gas and have a boots acidophillus tablet in the morning, along with a (asda/tesco/aldi supermarket brand) probiotic drink. i feel this has helped alot, but still get slighty gassy after i take them... could this be the PREbiotics?
