Hi, Jane.I've been on a diet for about 6 months that is really helping with my IBS (I have "D" type). It basically avoids all grains, lactose, carbohydrates and potatoes. It also disallows complex sugars (so you only get honey for a sweetener) I've also learned to avoid all artificial sweeteners, like sorbital, which really gets me going.
