Hey there - I just thought you might like to try something different to help you get your strength back... I was like you two years ago for a couple of months, then again last winter for a month. I started drinking ENSURE, a dietary replacement drink only available at the drug store. There are a couple on the market, but I found that one the best. DOnt get the chocolate flavour.(chocolate upsets me and many other ibsers), drink it a room temp (I've figured out that dcold drinks start my colon into spasm)- and STOP drinking all that water!!! You are adding water to your system which, for me, adds to the liquid in my stools (if you can call them that). Try just a teaspoon of PRODIEM plain once a day for a few days. Then two teaspoons (at the same time of day) once you are used to it. Try also eating plain rice, slowly, for energy and gentle fibre I eat rice with a Delmonte fruit cup poured over it. Its really yummy, easy to digest, contains fibre to slow things down, gives you natural syrup for energy etc. Serve some to yourself in a tiny bowl, like one you'd put dipping sauce in, so you don't pig out on it and eat too much too fast.Hope some of these ideas help nurture a better feeling for you. Are you on Caltrate? I just started it this week, 1/2 tab a day, then 2 1/2 tabs, I think I might go to 3 1/2 tabs and see how it goes. I thought after 4 days things were really improving for me. Only took 1 imodium last fri am for a trip to Toronto. Did ok. only used three thin maxi's to catch the 'liquid farts' (as I call them) Sat was great, but yesterday afternoon/evening was the _hits. (Hmmm.) but I feel better this am, to we'll see how this week goes.take care, and persevere thoughtfully, slowly and be good to yourself,Seeker
