HI i AM NEW TO ALL THIS BUT WAS HOPING FOR SOME HELP I CONSTANTLY HAVE NOISES AND GURGLING IN MY STOMACH AND TRAVLING UP MY CHEST AND GUT SOMETIMES IT MAKES ME NAUSEOUS IS IT TRAPPED WIND OR EXCESS ACID? AND WHAT HELPS THESE SYMPTOMS HAVE TRIED GAVISCON, PEPTO,WIND ESE PEPPERMINT GELL CAPSELLS PEP TEA ALL WORK FOR A DAY OR TWO THEN SYMPTOMS COME FLOODING BACK,ANY ADVISE APPRESIATED.

Sounds like you should talk to your doctor about GERD and see if you fit that. Sometimes people have functional dyspepsia that can cause some of the same symptoms.GERD is when the heartburn and other symptoms you mention keep coming back even if antacids or acid reducing medications will stop it for awhile.You may need to have a camera put down your throat to see if you have any damage to the esophagus. There are some types of damage that can eventually cause problems with swallowing and some may increase your risk for cancer so you shouldn't just ignore this.

I will speak to my gp at my next appointment I havent heard of gerd... is this common along with ibs?

GERD is pretty common by itself. I don't know if it is more common in IBSers than in anyone else.
