I've just bought myself some ginger tea-bags and ginger root extract capsules in an attempt to keep my gas at bay.The thing is, how much and how often should I take this? Is there a 'good' time of day to drink it?I only bought the capsules in case I didn't like the tea (but it's quite palatable with three teaspoons of sugar :) It also seems that the capsules can be used to make tea.I assume I shouldn't go mad with it and have too much, maybe two mugs a day?The bags have to be left to 'stew' in the water for about 5 minutes - can they be re-used and still be effective? Just trying to save some pennies.
Thanks,Phil

I just recently bought the capsules myself. I started out with two just before my evening meal. I believe you can take two before each meal if you like. I always start out with a lower dose when I am trying a new product. I haven't been on it long enough to know if it will work or not.The only thing I see wrong with the tea is using sugar, as that is a problem for me......as it is for most of us with IBS.......
Good luck and hang in------

Hi. I take 1-4 caps a day. Usually just one aloneseems to help me now. If I am really going to pigout I take two at a time. Today is Sunday, I'm notgoing anywhere so I didn't take them at all. I canstill tell a big difference. I also take chromium for my low blood sugar and drink ginseng tea occasionally. I try to eat sensibly but sometimes I eat too many cookies or drink too much milk but it the gas is now maneageable and the pain is gone. I still have a prob. w/constipation. I would not use a tea bag over. too weak. Also I amnow starting to excercise because that really keeps everything moving.Good luck.
