Has being gluten free really helped anyone reduce their gas that does not suffer from celiac or gluten intolerance?
For the most part I avoid wheat because I do not believe it is really good for anyone but I an not sure it has really helped the gas.

I stopped eating wheat a few months ago and I noticed the difference. I am not bloated that much and gas is less troublesome. I think eating processed wheat was making me bloated but also, more hungry for bread. Now I do not miss standard bread from shops, I eat artisan buckwheat and rice no yeast bread. I am also feeling better.

I feel lucky to have caught subclinical hypothyroidism early (after googling why my hair had falling out in one patch noticed by my hairdresser). The endocrinologist warned me I might become gluten intolerant and when I eliminated wheat and oats, this led to a dramatic improvement in IBS symptoms. Apparently lots of people have low thyroid without realizing it for years. Just needs a simple blood test.
