·Just wanted to share with you my story of really good luck while on vacation! I just got back from 4 days in the heart of Toronto's downtown, an area that's quite exciting, but very foreign to me! Arriving on the plane Thursday night went well - I can't beleive I survived the airplane food! Visiting with family, I drank a snifter of amaretto cream liqueour - no reaction! Spent Thursday night at my Uncle's downtown, then went for brunch Friday morning (was glad to hear they cancelled the plan of going for dim-sung as the resteraunt was a ways away and would cut into our time restraints!). Spent the rest of Friday being stuck in traffic, but no big problems. Friday night was a challenge - stayed on my Uncle's Sailboat for the night, but didn't know the "code number" for the washrooms! Had to convince my compainions that I couldn't use the "head" on the boat, so they had to run me up to a gas station! Spent a while in there, and I think the cashier was wondering a bit!
Saturday was stuck in traffic, eating breakfast and changing into our nice cloths at McDonalds, going to my Uncle's wedding (beautiful!) hanging around for pictures, then the reception. Back to the boat for sleep (but we could get into the clubhouse now for washroom breaks!). Didn't even get sea-sick! After brunch on Sunday we were back in the car for an hour trip to a town outside of Toronto for more visiting. Spend the hour curled up in the front seat looking for a drug store to buy pepto and midol! Stopped at a gas station and ran into the washroom - had about 3 people knocking on the door to get in . . .all I could say was "sorry, just be a minute!"
Sucked pepto back and that settled it down.Flew back last night (again, survived the plane food!) and selpt in my own bed!All in all, had a great trip with not too many frightening incidents! Luck was on my side (and the pepto helped too!)
Off to the Calgary Stampede today - yeeeeha!Just wanted to share my vacation with you!
