I was just wondering if anyone on here has actually tried the birth control patch. My DR gave it to me to try and said that it may be more effective then my birth control pill because it has a steady amount of hormones being released instead of one dose a day. I want to know if there are more side effects or less and if it killed your IBS.T

The patch is getting very popular because it is easier to use than a daily pill. Some women have increased breast tenderness, changes in bleeding patterns or headaches the first few months they use it, but these symptoms usually get better after the first few cycles. I don't know why it would influence IBS symptoms one way or the other. Although it's common to have some increased IBS symptoms around the menses, hormones are not effective treatments.
