I've had IBS since I was about 8 years old. I was on Lotronex for the clinical trials here in NYC. I took it for 6 months after the trials were over. I had about a 3 month supply when it was taken off the market. Most of my IBS is psychological, not food. I can't remember ever not having it except when I was on Lotronex or during both of my two pregnancies. I have tried to get in touch with certain doctors that are supposed to be certified to give out the RX in NJ, but they won't return my calls. Does anyone out there know of a doctor in NY, NJ, CT, PA, DC, or RI that will prescribe it? I don't care what test I will have to take over or how far I will need to commute...Thanks!!!

Thanks so much! He is in my health insurance plan, but is not accepting new patients. I am going to try anyway. I will update you.If anyone else knows of one, PLEASE let me know - just incase I can't get an appointment...This is why I love this website. I have learned so much in the last few years just from reading these bulletins!
