Hi, I'm newly diagnosed with IBS. Until a week and half ago, I never really had any problems. I was able to go every morning with occasional cramping/pain. The doctor prescribed me Librax upon diagnosis and I've been taking that for about a month. I noticed that it was making my stools harder, but it never caused any constipation. Last Saturday however, I become constipated, but when I went it would be runny. I still don't know why I did it, but I also took Zelnorm hoping to increase the frequency. I think that combo really screwed up my system. I was also just passing white/yellow mucus with no stools. I thought I might have had an infection because I ate a hamburger that didn't taste right the same day my problems started. If I did, it's probably clearing up because I seen my PCP on Friday and he gave me an antibiotic. He also prescribed me Miralax for the constipation. I've been taking that, but am still having trouble. I have the urge to go and when I do all I pass is yellow water or mucus. The pressure is also really great because it's caused hemorroids. I feel I may be impacted and don't know if I should give the Miralax another day or go to the ER to get checked out. I'm in a lot of discomfort and can't seem to relax, which isn't helping. What should I do? Also, those who have constipation, can the bowels press against the bladder causing diffuclty urinating? Please someone help, I'm too young to be having these problems!!!
