This is for all of Heykate's BB friends,(forgive me if I don't use any names, I'm not sure that I know ALL of you!)After being delayed for about an hour and a half, (with out her "happy drugs"), she finally made it in at about 10:30 or so. She came out just after 12:00. She is doing just fine and the doctors said the surgery went well. I haven't been able to talk to her in person to get all the details yet, so I am sure she will fill you in when she can. She will be in recovery for awhile, and then she is going to stay over night. So on Saturday you all can send her the giff's that she is so fond of!! She'll be at her "temporary home", for a little while longer to rest. Thank you all very much for your concern, and thoughtful emails. They've really cheered her up. Now, bring on the wine and chocolate cake!!!Kathy's daughter, Jenn

Thanks for the update, Jenn. What sort of psychological magic did you use to keep her there during the wait? Maybe I could use it with my hubby sometime since he has the patience of a flea and is always trying to escape from hospitals - literally! Tell your Mom my thoughts are with her. I'm in and out on the board now and can't post much. My closest friend and neighbor is in the hospital with stroke(s) and I'm running back and forth to her. She is 80 and has no family here in Arizona, so I'm the surrogate daughter. I want to hear all the details about Kathy's gb surgery since I am scheduled for the same thing in less than 2 weeks.

Thank you for all of your responses, I'll make sure she reads them all. I got to talk with her a while later after I posted the first time, and she wanted me to tell you that she is quite sore and tired, but doing good. Apparently, (and charlie this is for you), she said that her GB was very scarred and diseased. For the rest of the "real" details, you'll have to wait for her post sometime tomorrow. She should be released in the morning.Thank you again for all your prayers and concern.Jenn ps. My mom wanted me to tell you,Charlie, that she has already gone peepee, so she is safe. She insisted that I tell you this right away!Rockcandi- Mom wanted to know where you got the wine giff, she hasn't come across one, and thought it was cute.(when I told her about it)

I've been out of the loop for awhile with my job (Work and sleep) so am very happy that things went well. These days gallbladder surgery is easy to bounce back from. When I had mine, my sister sent me a box of fudge and I was eating it within a day or so! Trust me, YOU WON'T MISS YOUR GALLBLADDER!Love,Jan

OK, so it's me in person - I just wanted to quickly thank everybody so much for your pictures and kind words. Rockcandi - you made my mouth water - but the way I'm feeling, I think I'll wait a while - still kind of woozy. Well, been sitting way to long this session. You guys are the best. Thanks again.Love to you all,Kathy (recovering MUCH more slowly than wanting to!!)
