jerrymhg, I have been reading your posts about fossomax and gas and bloating. I also have osteoporosis and need to take medication for it. I also was on forteo for about a year but the doctor took me off because I wasn't getting good enough results from it. He then put me on actonel and I have had no bad side effects from it. I take it once a week first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Are you IBS-C or IBS-D? I am IBS-C and do have a problem with gas and bloating, but the actonel has not made it any worce. Maybe you should give actonel another try, I have heard that fossomax is alot harder on your stomach than actonel. Karen
