Hello, All! New to site. 45 yr old male w/ IBS-D. Had this since I was 5. Last 3 years flare after flare, even with Lotronex 2x daily and Librax 3x daily. Miserable to say the least. Finally found people who understand me! Dr. has all but given up trying to help me:(

Welcome Cherokee,I'm 33 and have been suffering with type "A" IBS for years. I too am new to the site currently taking Librax 3x daily with constant flare ups. Headin back to specialist on the 16th with hope of a new treatment, I've picked up some aloe gel which is a drinkable dietary supplement and going to give it a go thanks to a tip from an anonymous member, howeve, I've got so little hope for the period of time it's been going on that it's like waiting for a miracle. I probably like you would like to enjoy life and cope instead of being watchfully for the next washroom event!Sincerely Flushed,Mr. Tully

Thanks Mr. Tully. I'm glad I found this site, it seems like a person is alone with this disease. I've found family and friends don't understand why I can't "just hold it". It's frustrating to say the least.I'm a big gabber, so please excuse me. I've been cooped up in my home a lot the past 3 years with really no outlet to the outside world except a telephone. iPhone has been a help. I've felt like I've been cut off from the world for 3 years.
