hi just!how are you? it seems our msg "a big thankyou" has come to a stop! shame!!since the ibs started 3 months ago i've lost almost a stone in weight. i wouldnt say it's noticeable but i guess i'm so used to looking in the mirror and seeing one image. i think ive lost weight around my hips and thighs, when i need to those it off my torso and stomach!!i think that cutting out milk, bread, sweets and junk which i ate a lot off has really helped. by increasing the fruit and vegetables i have every day i've got more energy and don't get tired in the afternoons and haven't taken an afternoon nap in ages!i think it's a pretty normal thing to lose weight when you change your diet. starchy foods etc do make you put on weight, and because we've cut out a lot of fatty foods, of course we're going to lose weight. as long as you don't get underweight, then it's natural and fine. i know the weight for my height should be between 9 stone 2 and 10 stone 2. as long as i dont go under 9 stone 2 then i know i'll be fine.

yep I'm here!! i tried to go around to the post office but when i got up the road it started POURING down with rain so i had to run home! luckily i didnt get too far away from the flat!! you're really below 9 stone? i'm 10 stone at the moment which isn't the lightest i have been though. i lost a LOT of weight in the summer of 2001 when i came off the pill and went to the gym all the time. since moving to birmingham my weight has gone up because when i lived with the girls in a student share house i used to comfort eat because i didnt like being there. im only a size 10-12 (UK sizes) though so i wouldnt say i'm fat, but i would like to lose the extra flab i have around my torso (the bit just above the stomach). do you have 3 meals a day? i guess if you're eating properly then it might not be as worrying as if you weren't eating.

hahahah!! yeah we are in the habit of taking over his posts with chatter! LOL!!neighbours and doctors are on in a minute and then im going to have to do some revision - well, start some SERIOUSLY! first exam is in 2 and a half weeks time. SCARY seeing as i havent started revising yet. the tutor hasnt even told us what to revise for it. useless!i havent had pasta for ages because last summer i got food posioning from pasta and sauce that i cooked. i havent been able to touch it since because i was violently ill for 11 hours. it was horrendous and scared me really badly. i couldnt even keep down water. im ok with pizza which is strange because i cant have bread. ive got no idea where it all comes from! prehaps its something to do with the starch content? i'm going to have white rice later for tea! what about you?

hahahaha linda~! ive never watched "murder she wrote". i usually fall asleep after doctors! i havent had a nap after then for ages although im trying not to today because i was up early today - 8:30am!! too early for my liking!thanks for the suggestion just. its the texture of the pasta which makes me feel ill thinking about because i saw too much of it when i was violently sick. i wont go into details, but ive been put off it for life!! although ive had spaghetti since and that was fine. it was because it wasnt the same shape as the stuff i got food poisoning from.

hi linda!! i did do some revision when i woke up though and did work until 10:30pm last night!!Sar...I've told my uni about the problems. they have a doctors note but im sending a letter from my specialist in because they need to know the problem is on going. i've told my tutor and he has been really nice about it. im getting special arrangements made i think. the woman in charge of it all thought i wanted extra time but i dont have learning problems - i just want my own room to do the exams in so i dont disturb anyone and i take medication etc when i need to. what exam arrangements have been made for you?Linda - I'm addcited to ebay too! i used to buy loadsa videos and CD's etc off there plus cosmetics like cliniqye etc because it's at cheaper prices than in the shops! i saw a lovely tigger hot water bottle and cover in ebay once - i was soooo tempted to buy it but i have a plain hot water bottle so i decided i didnt really NEED it but it would have been nice!! what are you up to today? Log on MSN if you can - i never see you on there!!

hi sarah, i should get another letter to send them. my tutor though i'd have my own room, but even if there are a few ppl in there, then i dont mind. as long as i can get up walk around outisde, bend over if my tummy hurts, go to the loo etc. did you get extra time for the exams? thats what the woman thought i wanted, but i said i didnt have a learning disability and told her my tutor said id be able to sit in a seperate room. the woman was very fussy etc.
