Hello FullyCured.
Thank you for your informative post. I have been on a similar journey to you. I have suffered IBS-D for many years, and had almost given up on finding a cure. Honestly I wanted to end my life.
I recently started seeing a new Doctor who recommended that I see a psychologist. I was not very confident that a psychologist could help because I thought that my stomach issues were physical and not mental. My IBS improved after my first visit to the psychologist. The psychologist explained how emotions can have too much influence on my behaviour. It made so much sense. Since that first visit, I have gradually improved. I wouldn't say I'm cured, but my symptoms have improved a lot. I think that I will try meditation next.
I wanted to thank you for posting your story. It's given me more confidence that I am on the right path. I was wondering if you recommend any meditation websites?
Thanks.
