Hi This is the first time I have posted. My husband suggested it. I have had IBS for a few years now and it has always been constipation, bloating and gas. I had a tummy bug about 3 months ago and it has totally changed. I have d occasionally and i always feel as though I still need to go. I passed just mucus the other day and it freaked me out it is normal? I wasn;t clear it was orangy in colour. It is really starting to get me down and depressed. The stress of trying for a baby and the possiblity of losing my job may be contributing to this episode but I can't help it. The Dr has ordered some blood becasue he said that my bowel seemed inflammed, does anyone know about these tests and what could be wrong. I can feel like a sausage shape on my lower right side, does anynoe else have this.I feel so odd and embarrased I am sick of feeling this way, this episode has lasted for about 3 months, how long do other people have episodes for? I feel quite isolated. Please helps x

I wouldn't worry too much, we all have "freaky" experiences and they freak us out - As long as you are seeing a doctor to get it investigated then don't worry about discussing it - It's so much better to get things off your chest with people who understand

Hi Too Tall,Sorry to hear you are going through this. It effects our lives so much. I have IBS-D and I have had it for 19 years. My life was forever changed the day this started. I am constantly wishing for the same thing you are "I wish I had normal BM's" It is good that you have turned to your dr. Maybe there is something else going on with you that will give you your life back. Stress is a major contribution so try and find ways to cope. Easier said then done-I know. If nothing else continue to lean on people who can relate to you.Keep us posted!
