Hi everyone,I'm new to the group but I've been suffering from overgrowth candida and SIBO for over 6 years.I went through treatment with Dr. Mark Pimentel (of Cedars-Sinai) last year but I had a negative response. I'm wondering if there are any members who know any doctors who have been successful in treating SIBO and overgrowth candida in LA or Orange County, California. I prefer to work with integrative medicine or natural path doctors.Does anyone have any experience working with the IBS Treatment Center in Seattle, Washington? Or Holtorf Medical Group in Torrance, California?Thank you very much for your help!- Star

This resources finds holistic doctors in your area: http://www.holisticmedicine.org/displaycom...ubarticlenbr=49Not sure of a good one for naturopathic doctors. That one I usually recommend as it finds a holistic doctor I know socially who has a very good reputation as I also know a few of his patients. Since he gets listed on that group I have some hope some other good doctors like him are listed.

I'm in North Carolina. I see Dr. Drossman. they do SIBO testing as well as a lot of other IBS treatments, but he doesn't think as many people have SIBO as Dr. Pimentel. They use a different test procedure here and think it has a lower false positive rate. But they use the same treatments for it, AFAIK.Dr. Drossman is an IBS expert, but the clinic here does have a full range of testing capabilities, and SIBO has been around for a long time with other GI problems before it was associated with IBS.The doctor I know socially is also here in NC, but since that Dr. finder pops him up (and tells you what kinds of treatment the holistic doctors are into) it can be a good resource. Basically I think he's good, so something that pulls him up may be an organization other good docs belong to. I don't know that any holistic doc would be an SIBO specialist.I don't know that you will find anyone who knows more about IBS-SIBO than at Cedar Sinai since they are the research that started it all.

Any ideas on the best way to find a doctor well versed in SIBO protocol? I'm in the Washington, DC area and have bounced around to a bunch of docs who don't quite get it.

Thanks, I saw them online and saw mixed reviews but I also had a parent of a friend refer me to them so they might be worth checking out. I'll check them out if the GI I'm seeing next week doesn't seem up to speed with what gut issues I've got going on!
